Bangladesh national team captain Nigar Sultana Jyoti has written her name in history. She is now the first Bangladeshi centurion in long-range cricket in women’s cricket.<\/p>\n
This is the first time that women’s first-class cricket has started. This has set a record in the women’s BCL at the Shahid Kamaruzzaman Stadium in Rajshahi on Monday.<\/p>\n
Jyoti played an innings of 153 runs for Madhya Pradesh against Uttaranchal in a three-day match. The Madhya Pradesh captain remains unbeaten after playing an innings of 150 runs in 256 balls with 20 fours and 2 sixes. Jyoti is now the first centurion in first-class cricket in women’s cricket.<\/p>\n
Madhya Pradesh took a big lead against Uttaranchal with Jyoti’s century. Batting first, Uttaranchal declared its innings by scoring 240 runs for 9 wickets. National team opener Farzana Haque Pinky gave the team a glimpse of a century. She scored 86 runs off 246 balls, while Ritu Moni scored 57 off 121 balls. Nahida Akhtar took 7 wickets for 48 runs.<\/p>\n
In reply, the two openers Murshida Khatun scored 66 and Farzana Akhtar Lisa scored 60 runs to give Madhya Pradesh a good start. Jyoti played an innings of 153 runs from that start. In that, Madhya Pradesh declared its innings at 387 runs for 8 wickets.<\/p>\n
Jannatul Ferdous Sumana took 6 wickets for 113 runs for Uttar Pradesh.<\/p>\n
