With the first two matches of the three-game series abandoned due to rain, the final match became the series decider. Bangladesh ‘A’ chased down the target of 183 runs set by South Africa in 33 overs, with 5 wickets in hand.<\/p>\n
Spinners Rishad Hossain and Alis Islam laid the foundation for Bangladesh’s victory. Rishad claimed 4 wickets for 45 runs, while Alis took 3 for 35. Under the pressure of their spin bowling, no South African batter\u2014aside from Marques Ackerman (54) and Imran Manack (43)\u2014could play a significant innings.<\/p>\n
In reply, Bangladesh took control of the match right from the opening partnership. Saif Hassan and Mohammad Naim put together 92 runs. Saif scored 61 off 53 balls, hitting 9 fours and 3 sixes, while Naim contributed 60 off 77 balls, featuring 6 fours and a six.<\/p>\n
Despite losing four more wickets after that partnership was broken, Bangladesh faced no trouble securing the win given the modest target. South Africa’s Kyle Simmonds took 3 wickets.<\/p>\n
