Three others were injured in the incident. The identities of the deceased and the injured could not be immediately ascertained.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Aminul Islam, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Gazipur Metropolitan Police&#8217;s Sadar Police Station, stated that the accident occurred yesterday, Wednesday, afternoon.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Eyewitnesses reported that a speeding truck struck an auto-rickshaw\u2014which was traveling from Tongi to Joydebpur\u2014from behind. Two passengers died at the scene. Another person, who was critically injured, passed away after being taken to the hospital.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">OC Aminul Islam said that three people were killed and three injured when the truck ran over the auto-rickshaw in the Dhirashram area. Police were dispatched to the scene upon receiving the report. Efforts to ascertain the identities of the victims are underway.
