Instructions have been issued to take necessary measures to strengthen the overall security arrangements at all power plants across the country. This directive follows the ‘Record of Discussions’ from a meeting of the Ministry of Home Affairs’ ‘Core Committee’.<\/p>\n
In this regard, a letter was sent to the concerned authorities on September 17 by Security Branch-2 of the Public Security Division under the Ministry of Home Affairs. Subsequently, to implement this directive, the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Headquarters also issued a letter to the relevant officials on September 23.<\/p>\n
The Ministry of Home Affairs’ letter stated that, in accordance with the ‘Record of Discussions’ from the ‘Core Committee’ meeting held on August 26, necessary steps must be taken to bolster the overall security of all power plants nationwide. Relevant parties have been requested to act upon these instructions.<\/p>\n
Following this, the letter sent by the DMP Headquarters requested the concerned officials to initiate actions in compliance with the Ministry of Home Affairs’ directive.<\/p>\n
The DMP letter reiterated that, based on the ‘Record of Discussions’ from the Core Committee meeting, necessary measures must be implemented to strengthen the overall security of all power plants across the country.<\/p>\n
Copies of the Ministry of Home Affairs’ letter have also been forwarded to the Cabinet Secretary, the Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister, the Secretary of the Public Security Division (Ministry of Home Affairs), the relevant branch of the Ministry, and the concerned police officials.<\/p>\n
