Six more people have died of dengue across the country in a single day. These fatalities occurred in the 24 hours following 8:00 AM on Monday. During the same period, 1,942 new patients were admitted to various hospitals across the country with the mosquito-borne disease. This brings the total number of hospital admissions due to dengue this year to 77,672.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This information was disclosed yesterday afternoon in a dengue-related bulletin issued by the Health Emergency Operations Center and Control Room of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">According to DGHS data, 239 people have died of dengue so far this year. Of these, 43 deaths occurred in August alone. Additionally, 142 people died in the first 28 days of September, 36 in July, 13 in June, one in May, and two each in January and February.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The bulletin stated that the highest number of hospital admissions during the mentioned 24-hour period was in the Dhaka division, with 785 patients. Admissions in other divisions included 301 in Chattogram, 264 in Khulna, 213 in Barishal, 197 in Rajshahi, 120 in Mymensingh, and 56 in Rangpur. Meanwhile, 1,751 patients recovered and were discharged from hospitals; this brings the total number of recoveries from dengue this year to 72,008.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Earlier, eight people died of dengue across the country on Monday. On that day, there were 2,036 new cases, marking the second-highest single-day infection count of the year.
