Whenever there is talk of the Prime Minister&#8217;s visit, everyone in both countries gets excited. That means it is good news.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Noting that the people of both nations wish to advance this relationship, he remarked, &#8220;The situation is extremely positive.&#8221; At the same time, he emphasized the need to allow the Prime Ministers of both countries to choose a convenient time for the meeting.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The High Commissioner stated, &#8220;It is absolutely certain that, at some point, the leaders of these two sovereign, independent nations will meet.&#8221; Acknowledging the existence of problems and challenges between the two countries, he said it would be a mistake to pretend they do not exist; however, he reiterated that once the Prime Ministers meet, no issue will remain unresolved.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Highlighting the mutual interest of the people of both nations, he noted that the relationship extends beyond mere political or diplomatic ties. There are people-to-people connections across various sectors, including water issues, cricket, football, trade, poetry, theater, cinema, and music. He expressed his support for further enhancing cultural exchanges and emphasized the importance of mutual interdependence rather than one-sided reliance. Speaking about Bangladesh&#8217;s cultural heritage, Dinesh Trivedi remarked, &#8220;Lalon, Kazi Nazrul, Rabindranath Tagore\u2014it\u2019s amazing.&#8221; Identifying himself as someone deeply connected to the world of culture, he expressed a desire for greater cultural exchange between the two nations.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">When asked if he was optimistic about the Prime Minister&#8217;s visit to India, the High Commissioner replied, &#8220;I am absolutely optimistic.&#8221; Noting that public sentiment plays a crucial role in a democracy, he emphasized that what the people ultimately want is what matters most. The people of both countries desire the beginning of a &#8220;golden chapter&#8221; in their relationship; he remarked that this is precisely why the Indian Prime Minister sent him to Bangladesh.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">However, Trivedi stressed the need for adequate preparation prior to any potential meeting. &#8220;Rushing things benefits no one. We must ensure that proper preparations are made,&#8221; he said, adding that discussions regarding trade, water-sharing, and other issues between the two nations are essential.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The High Commissioner remarked that a meeting between the top leaders of the two countries should yield tangible results, stating, &#8220;There needs to be a deliverable outcome.&#8221; He noted that officials must do the groundwork before the Prime Ministers meet, adding that discussions between the two sides regarding this matter are currently underway.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">When asked about the potential timing of the Prime Minister&#8217;s visit to India, Trivedi stated that no specific date or month has been finalized yet.
