Dr. The United States wants to work with the Yunus government

Nobel laureate Dr. The United States has reiterated its willingness to support the interim government of Bangladesh led by Muhammad Yunus. At the same time, the US has strongly rejected speculation of the country’s involvement in the recent student-led uprising in Bangladesh.

On Monday, the US State Department’s chief deputy spokesperson Vedanta Patel said in a press briefing in Washington, “We are planning a democratic future for the people of Bangladesh at this time.” Ready and willing to work with the interim government led by Muhammad Yunus.

He said that the United States is closely monitoring the situation in Bangladesh. But he declined to comment on claims of foreign influence in recent protests in the country.

When asked about allegations of Chinese involvement in the student protests, Patel replied, “I’m just not going to speculate.” At the time, a journalist cited India’s historic alliance with the ousted government of Bangladesh and noted that some Indian media outlets had alleged US involvement in the anti-government protests.

In response, Patel strongly denied these claims, saying, “I have not seen those reports.” But what I can say unequivocally is that they (the reports) are not true and perhaps that is why I have not seen them.’

Renowned economist and Nobel Peace Prize winner Dr. Muhammad Yunus was sworn in as the Chief Advisor to the Interim Government of Bangladesh on August 8. It raised hopes of a renewed democratic path for Bangladesh.
