The government has appointed full-time administrators in three district councils – Sirajganj, Chuadanga and Satkhira.

The Local Government Division (District Council Branch) of the Ministry of Local Government issued a notification in this regard on Thursday.

According to the notification, Md. Saiful Islam has been appointed as the administrator in Sirajganj District Council. Md. Sharifuzzaman has been appointed as the administrator in Chuadanga District Council and Md. Habibul Islam Habib has been appointed as the administrator in Satkhira District Council.

The notification states that the above-mentioned persons will serve as the full-time administrators of the respective councils until the new district council is formed or until further orders are issued.

The notification states that the appointed administrators will exercise the powers and perform the duties of the chairman of the district council according to the law. In addition, they will receive salaries and allowances according to the rules.

The notification states that this order will come into effect immediately.
