Asif Mahmud Sajib Bhuiyan, adviser to the Ministry of Youth and Sports and Ministry of Labor and Employment said that despite the case, there is no legal obstacle for cricketer Shakib Al Hasan to come to the country.
He said this in response to a question from journalists at the BSRF dialogue at the media center at the Secretariat on Tuesday (October 15).
Asif Mahmud said, ‘Legal matters are legal matters, I cannot say anything about it. One is the subjudice, the second is that the Ministry of Law is concerned about this, can give the answer.’
He said, we have to provide security to every player from our place, it is our responsibility. And we will observe that. As my ministry is concerned, I have tried to find out whether there are any legal barriers to entry and exit into the country. As far as I know, there are no obstacles.
He also said that if the court gives any order, it is a matter for the court. It’s not my business anymore. But so far there is no legal hurdle.
BSRF President Fasih Uddin Mahtab, General Secretary Masudul Haque and others were present on the occasion.
