BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said that we can keep the unity that was created in the anti-fascist Hasina movement. Today there is a well-planned plot to destroy that unity. We have to be careful about that.
Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said these things at the reception of journalist Mushfiqul Fazal Ansari at the National Press Club of the capital on Friday.
Fakhrul Islam said that journalist Mushfiqul Fazal Ansari was a true hero of democracy. When we couldn’t talk, Mushfiq served as the spokesperson for Bangladesh’s democracy in America and Europe. Such children need to be born at home in Bengal.
He said, Mushfiq was a real hero of democracy. Mushfiq will be a hero to us, the people of this country and the democratic people. When we could not speak in the face of tyranny in the country, Mushfiq raised his voice on behalf of democracy-loving people of Bangladesh to the outside world. No doubt he will be a hero to people.
He also said that Mushfiq and his companions could not stay in the country due to the oppression and torture of the fascist Hasina. They fought outside. And we fought fascism from within the country and won through an unprecedented mass uprising of the student masses. This victory will only be consolidated if we can hold on to it. If we can keep the unity that was created by us intact. Today there is a well-planned plot to destroy that unity. We have to be careful about that. Here, no one, no group, no party can destroy the potential that has been created in Bangladesh by bringing this mission forward. He urged everyone to be careful.
Journalist Mushfiqul Fazal Ansari was felicitated by the leaders of National Press Club.
In addition, the leader of the government officials association spoke at the event. Niamat Ulyah, Secretary General of Bangladesh Hindu Mahazot Advocate Govind Chandra Autarnik, Former President of National Press Club Kamal Uddin Sabuj, Syed Abdal Ahmed, Former General Secretary Ilyas Khan, Former President of Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists (BFUJ) M Abdullah, Former President of Dhaka Union of Journalists (DUJ) Elahi Nawaz Khan Saju, poet Abdul Hai Sikdar.
