He said these things during a press briefing of the journalists at Rangamati cantonment on Saturday (September 21) after exchanging views with the leaders of various local political and ethnic groups and the security forces.

The advisor said, everyone said in the meeting that we want harmony. But there is a lapse somewhere. There is one word that everyone is chanting about the rhythm, and that is conspiracy. There is a conspiracy from outside somewhere to destroy our harmony. In this important discussion, one thing that came up in the meeting is – who is behind this incident in Chittagong Hill Tracts. A strong investigation committee will be formed by talking to everyone to figure it out so that the real culprits can be brought under the law. Where there will be no differences.
Before this, in addition to the local government adviser, retired Lt. Gen. Md. Home Affairs Adviser came to Rangamati to monitor the situation in Khagrachari and Rangamati of Chittagong Hill Tracts and meet with the law and order situation. A high-level delegation led by the Home Advisor reached Rangamati at 12 am today. The meeting lasted for about 2 hours in the marginal hall of Rangamati cantonment. In the meeting, the adviser of the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development Cooperative AF Hasan Arif, the adviser of the Ministry of Home Affairs Lt. General Md. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury, Advisor to the Ministry of Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs, Supradeep Chakma, Police IGP Md. Moinul Islam, GOC Major General of Chittagong 24 Infantry Division. Mainur Rahman, Rangamati Region Commander Brigadier General Shaukat Osman, Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Mosharraf Hossain Khan, Superintendent of Police Dr. SM Farhad Hossain along with senior administration officials and local leaders were present.

Meanwhile, all types of vehicles have been stopped since this morning to protest against vandalism of transport and beating of drivers in Rangamati clash. No long-haul vehicle left the specified destination. All types of traffic are also stopped in the city.

On the other hand, shops are closed due to Section 144 in the city. People are not leaving the house unnecessarily. The whole city is in a state of chaos. Law enforcement forces patrol the roads. Police, BGB are deployed at important places. Due to the communal incident, the Paharis are also observing a 72-hour blockade program on the roads and waterways of the three hill districts from this morning.

It is to be noted that one person was killed and 64 people were injured on both sides in the communal clash in Rangamati yesterday morning based on the incident of Dighinala in Khagrachari. In this incident, several cars were vandalized, mosques, Buddhist temples were attacked and shops were set on fire. Section 144 is still in force in Rangamati city for an indefinite period to control the situation.
