Five more people have died due to dengue in the last 24 hours. At this time, 927 people were admitted to the hospital.
This information was informed in the dengue report of the Department of Health on Saturday (October 5).
It is said that 432 people from Dhaka City Corporation and the rest are from outside Dhaka among those who were admitted to the hospital due to dengue in the last 24 hours. During this time, 716 people were discharged from the hospital.
So far this year, 35 thousand 365 people have been admitted to hospital due to dengue. Out of this, 31 thousand 504 people got clearance. 182 people died.
Dr. expert doctor. Atiqur Rahman said, dengue is not seasonal now, it happens all year round. It is increasing when it starts raining. In addition to the use of anti-mosquito drugs for the prevention of dengue, the City Corporation should conduct campaigns everywhere. At the same time, everyone should be aware.
Entomologist Dr. Manjur Chowdhury says that only jail-fines and public awareness will not work to kill mosquitoes. Appropriate measures should be taken with proper manpower by carrying out survey properly.
It should be noted that in the history of the country in 2023, 3 lakh 21 thousand 179 patients were affected by dengue and 1 thousand 705 people died.
