From Staff Reporter, Sylhet //
Many allegations of looting of government property have been found against former MP Imran Ahmad and some top leaders of Awami League including Panchpandab of Mokam Bari (Alubagan) area of Jaintapur Upazila of Sylhet District. Many of them have become millionaires, showing themselves to be landless and have grabbed a large amount of property of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh government. Acre after acre of land has been grabbed by showing the thumb of the district and upazila administration. Now they are millionaires from zero.
It can be seen that most of the public property of Mokambari Mouzar, VP Khatian No-73, Dag No-107/138,134, 107/136,114/110, J,L,No-01 belongs to millionaire Jalal Uddin and his family members. Has settled in the name. Sometimes became the owner by purchase. Jalal Uddin alone led the Panchpandav. Even many of the properties bought with his money were shared by the Panchpandavas of the same family. Later, Marr is spreading influence in the area by collecting Tasdik papers of the survey. In addition, he has built hilly property in name and name. There are also luxury cars and houses. Once they ran out of ways to bring salt. Father was a daily wage labourer. But Aladdin’s lamp is caught by Jalal Uddin, the egg seller. He became the owner of hundreds of thousands of crores of rupees in a short time due to invisible reasons.
After the Awami League government came to power, he shared the post of financial editor in the upazila and gained fame as a prominent businessman. His excitement began. Besides the land port area, Tamabil has developed a large network in the country and abroad. Imran Ahmad, the seven-time elected expatriate welfare minister (MP), Jaintapur Upazila Awami League general secretary M Liaquat Ali, former upazila chairman and A.League leader Kamal Ahmad have worked behind the development of this huge property. Among them, Imran Ahmed and Liaqat, the son of a war criminal, gave birth after the fall of the Awami League government. On the other hand, while fleeing to India, Kamal Ahmed is being detained by the Border Guard (BGB) in the Jaintapur border area and is serving time in prison.
Meanwhile, Jalal Uddin, who is in charge of Upazila Awami League’s finance director, is lobbying to change his shell and join BNP from Awami League. He had all the accounts of the upazila Awami League. Taking advantage of that opportunity, Mokambari area and Sylhet district-upazila were occupied in Tilabari by name and name. The elite of Sylhet has built a market in the area adjacent to Sobhanighat (raw market) at a cost of crores of rupees. There is a plot worth crores of rupees in Islampur Majortila of Shahparan (R.) Thana area of Sylhet city. Khadimpara Bateshwar Sonali Bank has a luxury house worth crores of rupees in the area. Noorani Restaurant in Jaintapur Bazar, a market with Oryaksab shop in front of Jaintapur Police Station, about two bighas of land adjacent to the driver’s office in Changil area, about one bigha next to the bridge near Rajbari BGB camp, about another bigha in Kadamkhal area. There are about 100 bigha in the village called Mokampunji, Marazum behind the house of former MP Imran Ahmed on the bank of Sreepur river and more than 500 land, there are three more crusher mills in the crusher zone of Hendri Lamin in Alubagan area. Jaintia Hill is at least half a hundred bighas below the Rirsot. There are about 25 bigha in the area adjacent to the Sylhet-Tamabil highway road in Mekambari Mauza village, about 8 and a half bigha on the west side adjacent to the Queen Resort, at least 6 houses on the south side adjacent to Naljuri Resthouse, in the Tila area of Bayon Haor Tunir of that area, the government property is about two hundred bigha of fishari and shata bigha. Above is agricultural land. There are 6 shops in Naljuri Bazar and another 16 bighas of agricultural land on the right side of the road leading to Amswapn, on the left side of the same road there are two crusher mills above 7 and a half bighas, about 200 bighas from Kashia Howr village to Tamabil land port. Although it is mysterious, the fact is that the two hundred bigha land allocated for Economy June is still occupied by Jalal Uddin. There are about half a hundred bighas of land in the bordering area of Amswapn village. There are 8 stone stockpiling dumps in the surrounding area of Tamabil land port, at least half a dozen offices have been built. These offices are built mainly on government forest land. Also several dumpings have been constructed on CMP land up to Gate No. 1 on the right side of the Tamabil BGB Camp Convention Centre. There are 6 markets in Jaflong mama’s shops, Ballaghat has 2 more hotels, Ballaghat river has at least half a hundred bighas of land with betel nuts. There are also huge properties in Jaflong Nakshiapunji area. He has 6 cars including his personal luxury Land Cruiser. There are at least 20 hydraulic dumper trucks, over 30 agricultural turbo trucks, 6 felloders, 4 excavators, MV vessels for bringing goods to the port area and several others. There are several other ballgates for carrying stone and coal from Baghli and Khollagaon border areas of Sunamganj district.
Meanwhile, several people who did not want to be named said that Jalal Uddin served as the godfather of top smugglers under the cover of stone and coal business. Several top BNP supporters of Fatehpur Union No. 5 of Jaintapur Upazila used to give shelter to smugglers. The revenue department has already seized several of his import and export trade licenses on charges of smuggling. He was trying to smuggle various cosmetics products by pretending to import Indian shoes. By circumventing the good fortune of the government, he has become the owner of thousands and thousands of crores of money by accumulating money in this illegal way for a long time.
The five Pandavas with whom he stole these crores of rupees are Jalal Uddin, Azir Uddin, Abdullah, Shahabuddin and Alim Uddin, sons of deceased Safatur Rahman. They have shared these properties in the names of all of them. At present Raju Ahmed is carrying on trade using other licenses. Once Raju Ahmad was the manager of Jalal Uddin. Now that manager has also become a millionaire. The investigation also revealed that these lands have been grabbed in the name of many helpless people.
A related source said that he also worked together with the above leaders. MP Imran Ahmad has grabbed properties worth hundreds of thousands of crores of rupees in the same way. Imran Ahmad has hidden many facts in his election manifesto. He developed more than a thousand acres of land in Jainta-Gowainghat upazila including Sreepur. He is also now a banana tree with swollen fingers. Without elections, by forming committees among themselves, Tamabil led the business association and grabbed hundreds of crores of rupees. But the mysterious fact is that the alleged MPs Imran Ahmad and Jalaluddin were vocal in stopping the anti-discrimination student movement. Starting from simple traders, even the people are not willing to open their mouths against this syndicate. It is alleged that they have been establishing Ram Rajat in the local area with the help of some alleged yellow journalists. Smugglers were dispersed in the Jainta-Gowainghat border area by spreading party influence. A large sum of money came from there. Before anything happened they used several top smugglers of Haripur area. They always called for arbitration by changing the name of the meeting. Many locals could not speak. Besides, mainstream journalists are also not willing to publish news against them for fear of conspiracy-based false attack-cases.
It is also known on the ground that during the visit of the syndicate group in Jaintapur, many poor peasant families are still landless. They did not approach the district and upazila administration to take settlement for fear of lawsuits and attacks. Meanwhile, it can be seen that there are 4 big and small water fountains (bills) in Mokambari area. They are Chhota Dokha Bill, Big Dokha Bill, Labor Kurdi 1 and 2. These four bills were spearheaded by MP Imran Ahmed. At least four crore rupees are caught every year. A local source has confirmed that for the past 15 years, various leaders and activists have been phishing the bill by defaming the name of the Awami League government. Imran Ahmad kept the bill in full possession and continued the bootlegging trade. The source said that even though the water tower is in the government list, they are fishing the bill by taking it by force. Its sharers were Jalal Uddin, Liakat Ali, another A.League leader of Jokiganj Upazila Lokman was also involved. But another source says that Imran Ahmad used to sell the Jalmahals as ancestral property many times. It would not be wrong to say that almost half of the land of the mysterious encircled Jainta-Gowainghat has passed into their hands. But till today they remain beyond the reach of the law. Every year the government is losing crores of rupees due to the festival of Harilut. On the other hand, Jalal Uddin also called after Sheikh Hasina left the country. At first, he indulged in a lot of trouble at the hands of some unscrupulous top leaders of BNP at the upazila level, but finally he gave up. Among the top leaders of BNP, three officials of Haripur area are said to be playing one of the roles.
MP Imran Ahmed’s phone was switched off when contacted to inquire about this. Later, a message was sent to his WhatsApp, but there was no response. On the other hand, Liaquat Ali’s phone was switched off so no statement was received. When Jalal Uddin’s mobile phone was called, his brother identified himself, but he cut the connection after listening to the journalist. Since Kamal Ahmad is in jail, no statement could be taken from him. Raju and Lokman Ahmad could not be contacted as their phones were switched off.
When Jalal Uddin’s brother Shahabuddin was contacted, he said, “We have been occupying this land since the time when our grandfather was there.” I can’t talk outside of this, but you are a member of our area, so you give me the phone because you talk to him. Later, Abdul Hashim Sundai Miah (named as a member) asked the reporter the opposite question and said, “Are you going to lease the land, who gave you the responsibility to look for it?” In response to another question, he said, these lands have been given by DC office and tasil office, they are for you to see. At this time, he invited to go to the surface.
Meanwhile, until the report was written, a person named Ikramul Kabir, posing as a journalist from the Sylhet Press Club, called the reporter’s cell phone and wanted to know whether there is any complaint against stone trader Jalal Uddin. At that time, he said, who spoke on Jalal Uddin’s mobile phone with the identity of Sylhet Press Club. Then the reporter asked him whether to publish the news, do you need to identify the press club or the newspaper? Later he disconnected the mobile phone. Now the question remains about Jalaluddin’s deep affinity with Ikramul Kabir. Because when his brother Shahbuddin said in his defense that Jalal Bhai was outside, how did Jalal Uddin join the conversation with Ikramul Kabir? Because reporter Jalal Uddin is unable to speak even after trying so hard.
Jaintapur Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Umme Salik Rumaiya said, I am in a pooja mandap, it would be best if you check Sylhet ADC records.
