Maximum security will be provided in coming days including Durgo Puja: Army chief

Chief of Army Staff General Waqar-uz-Zaman has assured the safety of Sanatan religionists around the Autumn Durgo Festival. At the same time, he promised that maximum security will be provided in the coming days of the puja.

The army chief said these things while visiting the pujamandap at Ramna Kalimandir in the capital on Friday (October 11) afternoon.

He said, for centuries we Hindus, Muslims, Buddhists, Christians have been living together in this country. It is our coexistence. The compassion one has for another, it was in the past, it will be in the future.

Addressing the Hindus, he said, I am guaranteeing your safety. So far so well done, I strongly believe that the remaining time can be celebrated beautifully.

He also said that everyone will be fine. Happy Autumn everyone. Not only in Dhaka, but all over the country where this festival is celebrated, my autumn wishes will be for everyone.
