UK BNP president and advisor to party chairperson MA Malik has returned to the country after 19 years. After landing at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Sunday afternoon, he was welcomed by various levels of party leaders. After that, from the airport, he directly went to the shrine of BNP founder late President Ziaur Rahman and paid his respects along with party spokesperson and senior joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi. Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said while talking to the journalists that India despises the people of Bangladesh.
Addressing the interim government, Rizvi said, Why are the BCL-JUBLIG leaders and activists who fired on the students during the agitation still not arrested? You will not find those who killed Abu Saeed, Mochad, Faiz, how is it? If you don’t bring them under the law, they will do more havoc.
Rizvi said that many Awami League leaders have gone to India. India did not check their passports. They didn’t even need a visa. But other people of Bangladesh need passport-visa when they go to India. Salahuddin Ahmed, a member of the BNP Standing Committee, was dropped in India by the RAB-Police after keeping him hidden for two months in Bangladesh. There he had to face the case, had to go to jail.
Rizvi said, India is our neighboring country. There is democracy in that country. How do they see Bangladesh with one eye? They despise the people, they despise the independence and sovereignty of Bangladesh. They have received the world’s most murderous politician Sheikh Hasina as a guest.
Rizvi said that various types of propaganda are being spread in Indian media about Durga Puja in Bangladesh. Claiming that Bangladesh is an unprecedented peaceful country of communal harmony since centuries, he said, the policy-makers of India spoke in the language of Awami League. Because they do not need the friendship of the people of Bangladesh. They need Sheikh Hasina’s friendship.
At that time, Mahbubul Islam, the member of the executive committee of the BNP, the leader of the volunteer group Dr. Jahidul Kabir, Juba Dal leader Mehbub Masum Shanto and others.
