Hasina’s cadres still remain in police administration: Rizvi

Dhaka //

BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi commented that Hasina’s Awami cadres are still in the police administration. He said that the fascist Sheikh Hasina, who fled the country and stayed in India during the student uprising, has turned Bangladesh into a mass grave.

He said this while distributing leaflets to raise public awareness about dengue in the capital’s Uttara on Tuesday (October 15).

Alleging that there are still many fascism followers in the administration, he said regarding the reshuffle of the police field level, he said that eight hundred and three sub-inspectors of police who were appointed during Sheikh Hasina’s tenure are being posted in different police stations. None of them are neutral. They are all Hasina’s cadre. Among them there are 200 police officers, whose homes are in Gopalganj. These police officers should be investigated.

There are many other incidents, he said, which I don’t want to mention now. Mentioning that students were martyred by being shot in the chest during the July-August coup, Rizvi said, during the movement, a police officer showed the video and told the then Home Minister, Sir, one dies, two others stand. If such officers are given responsibility in different places in the police, it will be disloyal to the blood of the students.

Asking questions to the Home Affairs Advisor of the Interim Government, Rizvi said, “How come the policemen who martyred the students by firing on them are still in the administration?” How are the 200 SIs of the police in districts like Gopalganj still working for Hasina’s fascism?

Rizvi alleged that Sheikh Hasina has turned Bangladesh into a mass grave by shooting, disappearing and murdering students and political party leaders with this law and order force and administration. He said that the administration should identify these people and bring them to justice. Moreover, the martyr’s soul will not find peace.

Dr. Referring to the needs of the people of the country for the interim government led by Yunus, Rizvi said that not a single person should die in the epidemic during the tenure of this government without treatment.

At this time, BNP health affairs secretary Dr. Rafiqul Islam, North mayoral candidate Tabith Awal, BNP’s Dhaka Metropolitan North Aminul Haque, SM Jahangir and other leaders and activists were present.

BNP’s Rangpur division co-organizing secretary Aminul Islam, Mahanagar North BNP leader Anwaruzzaman Anwar, Member Secretary of Mahanagar North Juba Dal Sazzadul Miraj, Chhatra Dal’s Dr. Tauhidur Rahman Awal.
