The chief advisor of the interim government is not going to the Commonwealth Conference to be held on October 21-26. Muhammad Yunus. However, it has been decided to go to the BIMSTEC summit, a regional alliance of seven countries, to be held in November this year. Foreign Affairs Advisor Tauhid Hossain gave this information in a press briefing at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Thursday (October 17).

He said, the Commonwealth Heads of Governments meeting will be held in Samoa. Don’t go there Chief Advisor. This decision has been made. He is not going, so I will participate in the ministerial and head of government meetings. We have the same position on a set of issues with the Commonwealth.

Regarding the meeting with the representative of India-Pakistan in Samoa, the advisor also said that there will be several bilateral meetings. India and Pakistan meet (in New York). I’m not going there anymore. Will be with those who have not met.

Tauhid Hossain said, when the BIMSTEC conference is held, the chief adviser will go, this is our decision. Because BIMSTEC is a matter of few countries. There you can talk in a very homely and intimate atmosphere.
