Although news was recently published in national dailies and online news portals accusing him of being involved in various criminal activities, the Sylhet District BNP-Jubdal and central leaders and activists did not budge. This is pointing fingers at senior leaders and activists. Finally, he was seen dining with a smuggling member at Lal Shapla Beel. Rumors are circulating about this.

On November 11, 2024, Abul Hashim participated in a banquet in the Lal Shapla Beel area of ​​​​Bijoy Singh’s tomb, DB, Haor. At that time, several top members of the smuggling syndicate were seen with him. Among them was an expatriate.

Present during the banquet were Selim Ahmed alias Boiler Selim, Ripon Mia alias Picchi Ripon, Shafiqul Islam alias Lantin Shahid, Dulal Ahmed, Sujan Mia, Masuk Ahmed, Islam Uddin, Nahid Mia and expatriate Rafiqul Islam. It is known that many other smugglers and linemen were present.

It has been learned that the accused in the case filed by the Bangladesh Border Guard (BGB) for looting the Rajbari camp on August 5 were also present at the banquet. Relevant sources have confirmed that Abul Hashim has been leading them as their godfather. He has continued his anti-organization activities by tarnishing the party’s name and abusing his power. There is anger among the leaders and activists of the local upazila BNP and its affiliated organizations due to his such achievements. Because even after his name was included in the newly formed committee, no leader or activist in Jaintapur upazila was seen giving him floral greetings.
