Police have recovered the body of a teenager with his throat slit from the Purangaon area of ​​Nabiganj upazila in Habiganj district.

The incident took place on Sunday (November 24) at around 11:30 pm at the residence of the deceased Mostaqin Mia of Purangaon village in Kaliarbhanga union of Nabiganj upazila. .

The deceased is Mostaqin Mia (17), son of the deceased Zafar Mia of the same area. He was a mason by profession. The police are working to unravel the mystery of the incident.

According to police and local sources, the deceased Mostaqin is the fourth of the 5 sons of the deceased Zafar Mia of Purangaon village in Kaliarbhanga union of the upazila, two sons are expatriates and the other two sons work elsewhere. Mostaqin had been living in his house with his mother and the wives of his two expatriate brothers.

On Sunday evening, the mother-in-law of the deceased Zafar Miah fell ill and his wife left the wife of his two expatriate sons and their son Mostaqin at home, leaving them at the ancestral home. In the evening, Mostaqin Miah fell asleep on the bed of his home. Mostaqin went to the bathroom at around 10 pm. Later, after entering his home from the bathroom, the wives of the two brothers came running after hearing Mostaqin Miah’s screams. At one point, they started screaming when they saw Mostaqin’s body with his throat slit on the bed. At that time, local people rushed to the spot. Later, upon receiving the news, a group of police including Nabiganj Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md. Kamal Hossain visited the spot and recovered Mostaqin’s throat slit body. Meanwhile, the murder of teenager Mostaqin by slitting his throat in the home has created a sensation in the area.

Nabiganj Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md. Kamal Hossain said, “Those who were at the scene or nearby before and after the murder are being questioned. We hope that it will be possible to quickly uncover the main mystery of the murder.”
