Charu Chandra Das Brahmachari, general secretary of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON), has said that the work and statements of the expelled Chinmoy Krishna Das are entirely his own. ISKCON will not take responsibility for them.
He said this at a press conference held at the Swamibag Ashram in the capital on Thursday (November 28).
Charu Chandra Das Brahmachari said that ISKCON has no involvement in India’s comments or stance regarding Chinmoy Krishna Das. ISKCON is not responsible for what any person in any country has done or said about Chinmoy.
He also said that ISKCON is being wrongly implicated in the murder of a Chittagong lawyer. At the same time, ISKCON is not responsible for the road accident. Chinmoy Krishna Das was dismissed from the organization long ago for various controversial activities, including misbehavior with a child.
Meanwhile, on Monday, November 25, the detective police arrested him from Dhaka’s Shahjalal International Airport on his way to Chittagong. The next day, Tuesday (November 26), when he was produced before the court of Kazi Shariful Islam of Chittagong Metropolitan-6, the judge refused bail in the sedition case and ordered him to be sent to prison.
