Customs authorities have seized 11 pieces of gold bars from Sylhet Osmani International Airport. These bars were recovered abandoned inside a flight (BG-248) from Dubai.
On Wednesday (December 4), at around 9:50 am, the customs authorities recovered the gold bars abandoned inside the plane. The weight of the seized gold bars is 1 kg 283 grams. The approximate market value of which is around 1.5 crore taka. No one was arrested at that time.
Assistant Commissioner (Current Duty) of Osmani Airport Airfreight of the Customs Department, Bikash Chandra Debnath, confirmed the truth of this matter to The Daily Morning Sun.
