Book Festival Not Being Held on January 1: Ministry of Primary and Mass Education

This year, like previous years, the Book Festival will not be held on January 1, said Advisor to the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education Professor Dr. Bidhan Ranjan Roy Poddar.

He said this at a meeting held at the Khulna Divisional Commissioner’s office this Sunday morning.

He said that like previous years, the Book Festival will not be held on January 1 this year. However, books will be handed over to students of all levels by January.

Bidhan Ranjan Roy Poddar said that due to revision and changes in some chapters of each class book, there is a delay in printing the books. Therefore, there will be some delay in handing over the books to the students.

The meeting was presided over by Divisional Commissioner Mohammad Firoz Sarkar. Among others, Additional Director General of the Ministry Md. Atiqur Rahman was present. Additional Divisional Commissioner Sarbik Hossain Shawkat delivered the welcome speech.

At that time, the Deputy Commissioners of 10 districts of Khulna Division or their representatives and officials of important divisional-level offices were present.
