In protest against the attack, vandalism, tearing down of the national flag and conspiracy to incite communal riots at the Bangladesh Assistant High Commission in Agartala, India, BNP’s three affiliate organizations Jatiyatabadi Jubo Dal, Swechchhasebak Dal and Chhatra Dal have started a march towards the Indian Embassy in Dhaka. They first faced obstacles in Rampura. Later, the police proposed that 6 representatives go there to submit a memorandum.
Representatives of Jubo Dal, Swechchhasebak Dal and Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal have agreed to the proposal and left for the Indian High Commission.
The six representatives are Jubo Dal President Abdul Monayem Munna and General Secretary Mohammad Nurul Islam Nayan, Swechchhasebak Dal President SM Jilani and General Secretary Rajib Ahsan, Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal President Rakibul Islam Rakib and General Secretary Nasir Uddin Nasir.
Gulshan Zone DC Tarek Ahmed confirmed the matter at around 1:45 pm on Sunday.
He said, we applaud any peaceful program. But some rules have to be followed to maintain law and order. We have spoken to the Indian High Commission. As per the words, a proposal has been made to take six representatives of three BNP organizations there.
Earlier, the police stopped the joint protest march of three BNP affiliate organizations towards the Indian High Commission. The march was stopped by barricading the Rampura Bridge at around 12:35 pm. Earlier, the march started in front of the BNP central office in Nayapaltan in the capital at around 11:30 am.
On the occasion of this march, leaders and activists gathered in front of the BNP central office in Nayapaltan in the capital from this morning. They started coming in front of the party’s central office in Nayapaltan before 9 am. During this time, they raised various slogans against Indian hegemony.
