Mymensingh Range DIG Dr. Md. Ashrafur Rahman has commented that the friends of the fallen fascist government should be advised to return to society after being purified.
He made this comment at a view-exchange meeting with the civil society of the district at the hall of the Sherpur District Police Superintendent’s office on Thursday afternoon.
The DIG warned that there will be no exemption for those who will sabotage in the future.
The DIG said, the friends of the fallen fascist government are brothers, sisters or close relatives of someone in our society. They are now trying to return in different forms. We should advise them to return to society after being purified. Otherwise, they will not get exemption under any circumstances. We will also identify those who will cooperate in saving the fascists and action will be taken in that regard as well.
He said that on December 14, Martyred Intellectuals Day will be celebrated. On December 16, along with the Great Victory Day, December 25, the Christian Christmas and December 31, Thirty First Night, the friends of the fallen fascist government are trying to sabotage various places in the country, including Sherpur. To prevent this sabotage, the police, the army and various law enforcement agencies, civil society, and leaders of various political parties and anti-discrimination students will have to come forward.
Ashrafur Rahman seeks cooperation from all levels of society to build a new Bangladesh in the coming days.
Among others who spoke at the exchange of views were District BNP Member Secretary Advocate Sirajul Islam, Joint Convener Abdul Awal Chowdhury, PP Advocate Abdul Mannan, District Jamaat President Maulana Hafizur Rahman and General Secretary Nuruzzaman Badal, Khelafat Majlis President Abdul Halim, AB Party General Secretary Muksitur Rahman Hira, Sherpur Press Club President Kakon Reza, Executive President Rafiq Majid, General Secretary Masud Hasan Badal, Diabetes Association President Razia Samar Dalia, Convener of Anti-Discrimination Student Movement Mamunur Rahman, etc.
At that time, Lieutenant Colonel Ahsan of Sherpur Army Camp, RAB-14 CEO Abdur Razzak, other law enforcement agencies and police officers at various levels, and various leaders of civil society were present.
