The clip of the Chittagong-bound Intercity Paharika Express broke in Lawachhara area of Moulvibazar, separating 5 coaches. The train left after connecting the coaches half an hour after the incident.
The incident took place at around 1 pm in Lawachhara National Park area of Moulvibazar on Sunday (December 15). However, after half an hour of delay, the Chittagong-bound Intercity Paharika Express train from Srimangal left for Chittagong. Bhanugach Railway Station Master Kabir Ahmed confirmed the matter. The incident caused panic among the passengers. However, no casualties were reported.
Bhanugach Railway Station Master Kabir Ahmed said that the clip of the rear coach of the Chittagong-bound Intercity Paharika Express broke. The engine left the coach and moved about 200 yards away. 5 coaches were separated from the engine. After the train guard immediately informed the driver, he braked the train and brought it back.
