The bodies of 6 people have been recovered from a ship in the Meghna River in Chandpur.
The bodies were recovered from the ship on Monday (December 23) afternoon. It is learned that the ship was heading towards Sirajganj with fertilizer from Chittagong.
Initially, the incident is suspected to be a robbery. After receiving the information, the Coast Guard and police are conducting rescue operations at the scene.
The Chandpur Naval Police Superintendent said that the six people were killed with country-made weapons. Two more were rescued in a dead state in the incident.
