Five people were killed in a head-on collision between a passenger bus and a CNG-powered autorickshaw in Sherpur. Two more were injured. Their condition is critical.
The accident occurred on Sunday (December 29) morning near the twin pumps on the Sherpur-Mymensingh road in Bhatshala Union of Sadar Upazila.
Police and fire service rushed to the spot after receiving the information. Locals are assisting them in the rescue operation.
The names of the casualties were not immediately available.
Sadar Police Station OC Zubaidul Alam said that five people were killed in a collision between a bus and an autorickshaw this morning. After receiving the information, the police went and are conducting rescue operations.
