The curtain of the Dhaka International Trade Fair (DITF)-2025 will rise next Wednesday (January 1). The Chief Advisor of the Interim Government, Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus, will inaugurate the fair at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Exhibition Center (BCFC) in Purbachal.

The Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) said that the Chief Advisor will inaugurate the 29th Dhaka International Trade Fair at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Exhibition Center in Purbachal, a joint initiative of the Ministry of Commerce and EPB, at 10:30 am on January 1.

This time, the number of stalls and pavilions will be 327, both domestic and foreign. A total of 11 companies from seven different countries, excluding Bangladesh, will participate in this edition. Several innovations are being added to the 2025 trade fair. Shaheed Mughdah and Abu Sayeed Corner and the Youth Pavilion are being built in honor of those who were martyred in the July-August uprising.

However, the floor price or rent of pavilions, stalls or restaurant spaces remains unchanged. Adults will have to pay 50 taka for tickets. If you are below 12 years of age, the ticket price is half. Mahmudul Hasan, Director of the Information and Publication Department of the Export Promotion Bureau, said that this year the entire allocation process has been done online. However, the same floor price or rent has been kept as last year.

From 1995 to 2020, a trade fair was organized in Sher-e-Bangla Nagar in the capital under the joint initiative of the Ministry of Commerce and EPB to support the promotion, expansion, marketing and production of domestic products. Due to the Corona pandemic, the fair was not organized in 2021. And in 2022, the fair was organized for the first time at BBCFEC in Purbachal amid the pandemic restrictions.
