Chinese Ambassador holds one-and-a-half-hour meeting with People’s Rights Council

The People’s Rights Council held a meeting with Chinese Ambassador Yao Wen at the Chinese Embassy in Dhaka.

The meeting was held at 11 am on Wednesday.

President of the People’s Rights Council Nurul Haque Nur, General Secretary Md. Rashed Khan, party’s higher council member Ariful Islam, and international secretary Khairul Amin were present at the meeting.

In addition to the Chinese Ambassador, two senior officials of the embassy were present at the one-and-a-half-hour meeting.

In the meeting, the Chinese Ambassador praised the courageous and struggling role of the youth of Bangladesh in the mass uprising, wished the young leadership well in building the future of Bangladesh, and assured all kinds of cooperation from China.

Referring to Bangladesh as an important partner of China, the Ambassador discussed the current situation in the country, the upcoming elections, and contemporary issues. At this time, he also wanted to know the People’s Rights Council’s plans for reforms, elections and the future of Bangladesh.

Stating that China will work with all stakeholders to establish relations with the people of Bangladesh, the ambassador invited representatives of the People’s Rights Council and those interested in China to visit China.
