BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi has commented that neighboring country India is not able to stabilize in any way by sheltering fascist Sheikh Hasina. He said, they (India) are continuously smearing Bangladesh with propaganda, lies, and disinformation, no other country in the world is doing this. They have become very restless for Sheikh Hasina.
He said these things while meeting the martyred family at Badda Rampura Banasree on Thursday afternoon under the initiative of ‘We are BNP Paribare’ in the capital’s middle-Badda.
Rizvi said, ‘Who should we compare that demon woman with? We talk about Pharaoh, we talk about Nimrod, this demon woman is like Nimrod, taking the soul of Pharaoh and becoming Lady Pharaoh and drinking the blood of the children of her own country. Today, some are crying for this wicked woman Sheikh Hasina, some are crying for the crocodile. The country where she has taken refuge seems to be unable to settle down in any way, they are continuously spreading propaganda, lies, and misinformation against Bangladesh. Rather, after the change of our image on August 5, the brave people of this country and the enthusiasm and sacrifice of their youth have been glorified in every place on the world, from the Atlantic to the Pacific Ocean, the Indian Ocean to the Arabian Sea.’
The BNP leader further said, ‘This wave of sacrifice by the young students of this country has given a kind of surprise to the entire world. However, the neighboring country is giving misinformation that Bangladesh is oppressing minorities. Where is the oppression? You are the ones who are oppressing. During Friday prayers in Delhi, the police have beaten up the worshippers. They have been kicked out.’
Alleging that minorities are being oppressed in India, Rizvi said, ‘They demolished the mosque that Emperor Babur built 400 years ago and built a temple there. All the atrocities, injustice and lawlessness against minorities happen in India, not in Bangladesh. Hindus, Muslims and Christians in Bangladesh walk hand in hand. We all go to the same market together and do business in the same market; this tradition is old for us. However, to tarnish our great tradition, India is repeatedly spreading misinformation against us. We are being tarnished. When they saw that doing this was not going to help, now they are putting up barbed wire fences. What discussion have you had with the Bangladesh Border Guard that you are giving the barbed wire fences? Where and how will you give them? Whatever you see and do, you do it out of hegemonic thinking. You are a big country with a large population, and you work with this pride.’
The senior joint secretary general of BNP said to India, ‘If you measure the patriotism of the people of Bangladesh, the nationalist spirit of the people of Bangladesh, the commitment to protect the independence and sovereignty of the people of Bangladesh with a scale, this is much stronger. You cannot measure it by how many weapons you have in India, how big the army is. Why are you so restless? Why are you talking haphazardly about Bangladesh. Because you did not wish for the fall of Sheikh Hasina in any way. Sheikh Hasina would have looked after your interests, but she would not have looked after the interests of Bangladesh. Because Sheikh Hasina knew that if free and fair elections were held, she would never win. That is why Sheikh Hasina has always wanted a shelter in Delhi. She has sought a refuge in Delhi. Sheikh Hasina herself said that India will remember what I have given to India for the rest of her life. This is why today, some political parties in India have become very restless for Sheikh Hasina.
Addressing the interim government, Rizvi further said, “The political forces must immediately bring power. The free and fair elections that were blocked. Sheikh Hasina held daytime votes at night. The midnight elections were held and the voters cast their votes. Your interim government must do whatever is necessary in the coming days to ensure that this does not happen again.
We, the BNP family, will be chaired by journalist Atiqur Rahman Rumon, the convener, and moderated by member secretary, agriculturist Mokchedul Momin Mithun. BNP’s Microfinance Affairs Secretary MA Qayyum, Co-Economic Affairs Secretary Mahmudul Haque Sumon, Co-Editor for Science and Technology Engineer Ashraf Uddin Bakul, and others were also present.
