7 people who suffered eye injuries in the July-August uprising sent to Singapore for treatment

Seven people who suffered eye injuries in the July-August uprising have been sent to Singapore for better treatment.

They were sent to Singapore on a Bangladesh Biman flight at 8:30 am on Friday.

The people who suffered eye injuries sent to Singapore are Abdullah Al Baki, Akhtar Hossain, Md. Yamin, Fayez Ahmed, Minhajul Islam Shuvo, Mohammad Ramzan and Salman bin Shoaib. All of them suffered eye injuries in the July student movement. They were sent to Singapore for better treatment. They were undergoing treatment at the National Institute of Ophthalmology and Hospital in the capital.

Earlier, on Thursday night, Health Advisor Nurjahan Begum’s personal officer Dr. Mahmudul Hasan and National Citizens Committee’s medical cell convener Dr. Mahmuda Alam Mitu.

Dr. Mahmudul Hasan said, we have been working for the treatment of the injured since taking charge. The health advisor always keeps track of the treatment of the injured. We will soon send a few more abroad.

A board has been formed for the treatment of those who suffered eye injuries in the July movement. According to the decision of that board, many have been recommended for treatment outside the country. As part of that, 13 people have been sent so far. The process of sending a few more is underway.
