The 10th death anniversary of Arafat Rahman Koko, the younger son of Bangladesh Nationalist Party BNP founder martyred President Ziaur Rahman and Begum Khaleda Zia, is today (January 24).

BNP has organized a prayer mahfil to mark the 10th death anniversary of the late Arafat Rahman Koko, the younger brother of BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman and prominent sports organizer. The prayer mahfil will be held at the party’s central office in Naya Paltan at 11 am on Friday.

BNP Standing Committee member Mirza Abbas and leaders of the party’s central, metropolitan and organ and associate organizations will be present at the prayer mahfil. The party’s media cell member Shairul Kabir Khan gave this information on Thursday.

Shairul Kabir Khan said that after visiting Arafat Rahman Koko’s grave at Banani cemetery at 10 am on Friday, the Quran will be recited. BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi and the party’s central leaders will be present at the time.

In addition, a prayer meeting has been organized for Arafat Rahman Koko at the BNP Chairperson’s political office in Gulshan in the capital after Asr on Friday. BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman will be participating in the prayer meeting virtually. The party’s standing committee members and central leaders will be present.

The BNP in London, UK has also organized a prayer meeting for Arafat Rahman Koko. The prayer meeting will be held at Brick Lane Jame Mosque after Asr local time in London, Shairul Kabir Khan said.
