BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi has commented that the Awami League is now conducting online strike and blockade activities due to lack of public support.
He said, “They are not getting any response from the people, so now they have started digital protests.”
Rizvi made these comments while talking to a media worker in Sher-e-Banglanagar in the capital today, Monday. Earlier, he paid homage to the late President Ziaur Rahman at the shrine of the newly formed BNP convening committee leaders and activists in Munshiganj district.
Rizvi also said, “Sheikh Hasina has become desperate to restore her rule and she is ordering leaders and activists from abroad to carry out provocative activities. However, due to lack of public support, they now have to focus on digital protests.”
He said, “As a result of 16 years of movement and sacrifice for the true development of democracy and creating a free environment, today we have an environment where people can speak and protest.”
In addition, Rizvi said, “To reach the next stage of democracy, free and fair elections, independence of the judiciary and the rule of law must be established.”
Expressed his opinion.
