This time, Saraswati Puja is being performed in Srimangal at a 21-foot tall Vidyadevi Saraswati idol made of rice in Srimangal, Moulvibazar. The 21-foot tall idol has been made for the first time by Uday Pal and Gaur Pal.

Local and other devotees from different areas gather at the puja mandap to see the unique Saraswati idol made of rice at the 25th puja organized by the Lalbagh Youth and Youth Sangha in the Lalbagh area of ​​​​the suburbs.

Devotees who came to see the puja say that they have never seen an idol made of rice before. They have also seen for the first time that such a beautiful idol can be made using rice.

Sameeran Dhar, who came to see the statue, said, “This golden statue made of rice is like a living Saraswati. Seeing this beautiful statue has filled my heart with life.”

Statue craftsmen Uday Pal and Gaur Pal said, “This is the first time we have made a statue of Goddess Saraswati with rice in Srimangal. People are coming from different areas to see the statue and are praising our work. It feels great to receive people’s enthusiastic praise.”

The statue craftsmen also said that it took 30 days to make this 21-foot tall statue with rice. The beauty has been perfectly portrayed in the statue using 50 kg of rice.

Kaushik Dutta, president of Lalbagh Jubo Sangha, said, “Everyone wants something new. So, with that in mind, this year we have made a 21-foot tall statue of Goddess Saraswati, the goddess of knowledge, with rice.” Kaushik Dutta hopes that devotees will find peace by worshipping this new idol made of rice.
