Iran has opposed US President Donald Trump’s plan to evacuate Gaza. Tehran said that the right to determine the future of Gaza belongs only to the Palestinians, not to any outside force.

Tasnim News reported this in a report on Monday (February 3).

In the geopolitical reality of the Middle East, the Gaza crisis is not only a matter of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, but it has also become the focus of the struggle for the strategic interests of regional powers.

In this context, Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Esmail Bakai has clearly stated that US President Donald Trump’s proposal to transfer Palestinians from Gaza to Egypt and Jordan is absolutely unacceptable.

At the same time, he expressed concern about Israel’s continued aggression in the West Bank and the ongoing violence in Gaza despite the ceasefire, and called on the international community and Islamic countries to take effective measures.

Meanwhile, five Arab countries surrounding Palestine have strongly opposed US President Donald Trump’s proposal to resettle residents of the Gaza Strip in a joint statement.

The foreign ministers of Egypt, Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and Qatar met and expressed their position against the forced transfer of Palestinians by any means.

In a statement after the meeting, they said, “The proposal to transfer Gaza residents to other countries would destroy regional stability and increase conflict.”

Reuters reported that the foreign ministers of the five Arab countries sent a joint letter to US Secretary of State Marco Rubio on this matter. The letter was sent yesterday, Monday. In addition, the letter was signed by Hussein al-Sheikh, an advisor to the Palestinian president,

expressed his opinion.
