A landslide occurred in the Rohingya camp. It is reported that 9 people were killed and three people are missing in this incident. Heavy rains have caused landslides in the Rohingya camp of Balukhali in Ukhia, Cox’s Bazar. 9 people were killed. The death toll may rise. The accident took place in Balukhali Panbazar and Hakim Para camps in the early hours of Wednesday.

The matter was confirmed by the commander of 8 Amord Police Battalion (APBN) Additional DIG. Aamir Zafar. He said that a landslide occurred in Panbazar and Hakimpara of Camp-9 and 10 on Wednesday morning. A few settlements were buried in it. Five people including one Bangladeshi were killed in Panbazar camp and four people were killed in Hakimpara camp. 3 people are still missing. The bodies of the deceased have been kept in the custody of the upazila administration.

APBN said – Fire service personnel with the help of police and residents are still carrying out rescue operations.

OC of Ukhia Police Station. Shamim Hossain confirmed the matter. He did not initially reveal the names of those who died in the accident. However, among the 9 people, there is a four-year-old child, a 12-year-old teenager and some women, he said.
