Saudi Arabia has banned children from accompanying pilgrims during the 2025 Hajj season.
The ban was announced in a statement by the country’s Ministry of Hajj and Umrah. Gulf News reports.
The statement said that the decision aims to protect children from all the risks associated with intense crowds every year. This measure has been taken to ensure the safety and well-being of children and to avoid them facing any kind of harm during the Hajj pilgrimage.
The Saudi Ministry of Hajj said that priority will always be given to those who have not performed Hajj before this year.
Registration for this year’s Hajj can be done through the Nusuk app and the Saudi Arabian government’s online portal. Registration has already been officially launched for Saudi citizens and residents through these two channels.
Pilgrims must submit their information verification, adding companions, and requests to change mahrams online or through the Nusuk app.
