BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi has termed the demand for holding local elections before the national elections as “ill-conceived.”
He made the comment after paying homage to the grave of party founder and former President Ziaur Rahman with members of the new Narayanganj District BNP convening committee on Sunday (February 16).
He also said, “The government must give a final deadline for the vote to restore the democracy for which so many lives have been sacrificed. Before that, it is important to quickly complete the necessary political reforms.”
