Home Affairs Advisor Lieutenant General (Retd.) Md. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury said that ‘Devil Hunt Operation’ will continue as long as the ‘devils’ remain. He said, ‘This operation is being conducted to improve the law and order situation.’
He said these things in response to questions from journalists while participating in the ‘District Administrators’ Conference’ on Tuesday (February 18).
The Home Affairs Advisor said, ‘Corruption has to be reduced from the country, if this is not done, there will be no improvement. Our biggest problem is corruption. It has to be reduced from all levels. For this, I have sought everyone’s (DC) cooperation.’
Noting that the law and order situation in the country has improved a lot, the advisor said, ‘I hope for further improvement. The law and order situation and how to further improve the agricultural sector were discussed.
The Home Affairs Advisor said that the Deputy Commissioners in the conference talked about increasing the BGB and naval police on the border. He said that there was a proposal to increase the manpower of the Gazipur Metropolitan Police and the Industrial Police.
