The clash between Chhatra Dal and Chhatrashibir has recently started coming to light. On Tuesday (February 18), two students of the Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET) were involved in a bloody clash. Dr. Asif Nazrul, the legal advisor to the interim government, sees the clash between these two organizations, which play a role in the anti-fascist struggle, as a sign of a bad future. He has sought the intervention of seniors from the parent organization in this regard.

On Wednesday (February 19), around 12 noon, Arafatul Usmani, a professor of the Law Department of Dhaka University, shared a status on his verified page on social media Facebook, where he made this call.

During the Awami period, if there was a fight between the League and any other party/faction, the police and administration would shamelessly side with the League. As a result, the other side would have broken the law very quickly. But currently, the police and administration are divided, no political party has a single force for now, the number of dedicated violent activists is close to the same, all in all, if Chhatra Dal and Chhatra Shibir face each other at this moment, it can be said for sure that neither side will easily retreat. Both will fight as if it is a fight for their existence. Perhaps, the highest number of casualties and dead bodies in the history of student politics will be seen this time.

It is very frustrating to see all this. I have never felt fear in any matter, I don’t know if it is because of stubbornness or if it is a problem in my head, I have always taken any threat as a challenge. But when I see my brothers drinking each other’s blood, I feel real fear, panic, and most of all, I feel disappointed. Whoever is the victim here is my brother, I have also eaten tear gas rubber bullets together 6 months ago. The fight between them now cannot be pleasant in any way.

The way Chhatra Dal and Chhatra Shibir are naming each other and threatening each other in their official pads, this indicates a very bad future ahead. I think it is very important and absolutely essential to resolve the problem with the intervention of seniors from their parent organizations.
