BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said, we are in a critical period. The people of the entire country want to return to the democratic path. There is doubt whether the government is sincere in holding elections.

He said this at a program organized by Chhatra Dal at Krishibid Auditorium in the capital on Wednesday afternoon.

Mirza Fakhrul said, some fascists can apologize and do politics, such comments by the local government advisor are not acceptable.

Mirza Fakhrul commented that the people will not accept it if the genocide perpetrators return to politics.

This BNP leader said, whether this is a strategy to form a new political party, that question has now arisen. The people will not accept the government’s patronage to form a new party.

The BNP Secretary General also commented at the time that the interim government wants to give space to fascists for its own interests.

He also said, “If the interim government loses its neutrality, another neutral government will be needed. After my comment, many people said, ‘We want another one-eleven.’ But if you pay attention, everyone will understand that we (BNP) are the biggest victims of one-eleven. So I want to warn you, if you try or think of one-eleven again, the people will never accept it.”
