Bangladeshi Biman makes emergency landing in India with 408 passengers

A Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight with 408 passengers on board has made an emergency landing at Nagpur Airport in the western Indian state of Maharashtra. The flight, which departed from Dhaka, was reportedly heading to Dubai in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

The Hindu reported on Thursday (February 20) citing Indian news agency PTI that there were more than 400 passengers on board the flight that made the emergency landing.

The media outlet said that a Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight en route from Dhaka to Dubai made an emergency landing at Nagpur Airport in Maharashtra with 396 passengers and 12 crew members on board, officials said on Thursday.

A senior Nagpur airport official said that the flight was diverted at midnight on Wednesday (February 19) due to a technical problem and later made an emergency landing.

Another official said that there were 396 passengers and 12 crew members on the flight. He said the passengers will be transferred to another Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight.
