A big opportunity has been created after the fall of Sheikh Hasina, claimed BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir. He urged everyone to remain united to utilize this opportunity.
He said these things at a program organized at the National Press Club on Saturday to mark the posthumous Ekushey Padak to journalist Mahfuz Ullah.
Mirza Fakhrul said that journalist Mahfuz Ullah always spoke in favor of democracy. His dream was a democratic, happy and prosperous Bangladesh. His dream has not yet been fully realized.
The long struggle against fascism has been fulfilled in the student movement. After the fall of Hasina, the people of the country are now waiting for votes. Democracy will be fully established in the country through fair elections. Fascism has fled, it has been removed from power through the people’s movement.
Today, we can see a new light of hope, which will build Bangladesh anew.
