Nahid Islam has resigned from the post of Information and Broadcasting Advisor to join a new party. This information was revealed by the Chief Advisor’s office on Tuesday.
There have been rumors for the past few days that a new political party is coming under the leadership of Nahid Islam. Advisor Nahid Islam had also said several times that he would resign and join the new party. Today, with his resignation, that path has become much easier.
Nahid is one of the organizers of the anti-discrimination student movement. He may be made the convener of the new party. The new political party is scheduled to debut on February 28.
