Information advisor Nahid Islam resigned from the advisory council on Tuesday. Nahid Islam served as the spokesperson of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement during the anti-quota movement.

It is worth noting that Mahfuz Alam was sworn in as an advisor on November 10 last year. However, he was not in charge of any ministry.

Earlier, he was appointed as the special assistant to the chief advisor on August 28, 20 days after the formation of the interim government.

Mahfuz Alam graduated from the Law Department of Dhaka University. He played an important role in the anti-Hasina government movement, which fell under the banner of the anti-discrimination student movement.

At a program in the United States, the chief advisor introduced him as the ‘mastermind’ of this movement. He was the coordinator of the liaison committee to maintain communication between students, citizens and the interim government after the mass uprising.
