Major Zillur (retd) has commented on a talk show on a private television channel that the army has been broken by the Peelkhana massacre.
He said, ‘After such a big massacre, officers can be recruited and trained for a short time with money. But that is up to the low level. But where will you find the time to recruit and train at the higher level, mid level, junior level? Who will take responsibility for this irreparable loss?’
Condemning the recent denial of the Peelkhana massacre, Major Zillur said, ‘Did the angels of heaven come and kill so many officers? Let’s assume that there were 20,000 or 30,000 soldiers that day. Of that, 2,000 or 1,000 conducted operations on the ground. But everyone knew about them. So how can they say that we have been wronged?
