Chief Advisor Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus has urged youth to become entrepreneurs instead of job seekers.

Addressing the youth, he said, ‘Youth should develop themselves as entrepreneurs instead of job seekers. Only then can sustainable development be possible.’

He said this while delivering a speech at the BIMSTEC Young Generation Forum in Bangkok, the capital of Thailand, on Thursday. The Chief Advisor of Bangladesh was the keynote speaker at the event.

Professor Yunus, calling this generation of youth the most powerful generation in the world at any time, advised them to start businesses at the beginning or on a small scale.

He said, ‘You cannot change everything overnight. So start small and start the change.’

The Chief Advisor said to the youth, ‘Starting a business on a large scale is the wrong path.’

He called on the youth to get involved in social entrepreneurship to ensure sustainable development for all.

Stating that people are not born to work under someone else. Rather, they are born to be entrepreneurs, he asked the younger generation to keep entrepreneurship in mind.
