The government has appointed new Deputy Commissioners (DCs) for four districts: Tangail, Nilphamari, Patuakhali, and Pirojpur. The Ministry of Public Administration issued a notification to this effect on Tuesday.
The notification states that Pirojpur DC Abu Sayed has been transferred to serve as the DC of Tangail.
Md. Humayun Kabir, Deputy Secretary of the Finance Division, has been appointed as the DC of Nilphamari, while Chowdhury Ashraful Karim has been appointed as the DC of Patuakhali.
Additionally, Md. Golam Rabbani, Deputy Secretary at the Ministry of Public Administration, has been appointed as the DC of Pirojpur.
Meanwhile, the current DC of Nilphamari, Mohammad Nayiruzzaman, has been transferred as Joint Secretary to the Ministry of Social Welfare; Tangail DC Sharifa Haque as Joint Secretary to the Ministry of Home Affairs; and Patuakhali DC Mohammad Shahid Hossain Chowdhury as Joint Secretary to the Ministry of Environment.
