Dr. Zahed Ur Rahman, the Prime Minister’s Information Advisor, stated that if any member of the BNP is found to be involved in the demolition of the Radda MCH-FP Center in Mirpur, Dhaka, they will certainly be brought to justice.

He made these remarks on Tuesday (September 29) at 11:30 AM during a press briefing at the Secretariat regarding the government’s progress and contemporary issues.

Dr. Zahed Ur Rahman also mentioned that the nuclear energy cooperation agreement between Bangladesh and the United States would move forward with a focus on peaceful use.

The Information Advisor stated that Bangladesh would negotiate with India, Russia, and the United States in its own interest. Bangladesh will not bow to anyone’s conditions or pressure; any purchase of Boeing or Airbus aircraft would be made solely based on the country’s needs.

Citing LPG importers and operators, he asserted that there is no shortage of LPG in the country and that adequate stocks are available.

The Prime Minister’s Advisor reported that 157,760 metric tons of LPG were imported into the country last August, while 118,000 metric tons have been imported so far in September. Data presented at the meeting indicates that the supply and stock situation of LPG in the country remains satisfactory.

He noted that LPG importers and operators have assured the Minister of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources that there is no crisis of LPG in the domestic market. They provided this assurance during a recent exchange meeting held to review the import, stock, supply situation, and market prices of LPG.
