The District Livestock Officer (Lead, Deputation and Training Reserve) of the Department of Livestock accused of beating a colleague and bleeding him. Azizul Islam has been suspended.

A notification in this regard has been issued today on Wednesday. There is the signature of Syed Mahmud Belal Haider, Secretary of the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock.

According to the notification, he was suspended from service on June 19 as per Rule 12 (1) of the Government Servants (Discipline and Appeal) Rules, 2018. During suspension he will be entitled to food allowance as per prevailing rules.

On June 13, Fisheries and Livestock Minister Md. It was alleged that Azizul Islam beat an official of the Department of Livestock in the lift of Abdur Rahman’s house. The new appointment of the ‘offensive’ officer was canceled after the complaint. In this incident, the victim officer, Director (Administration) of Animal Resources Department Malay Kumar filed a case of attempted murder in Shahbag police station.

According to the information mentioned in the case affidavit, the Livestock Minister had asked Malay Kumar to come to his residence Diganta Tower for guidance on administrative matters. He went to the minister’s house at 13:30 pm on June 13. After work, Soya went down to the ground floor in the elevator of the tower around nine o’clock.

It is said in the statement that Azizul was already standing in front of the lift with a heavy object. As soon as the door of the elevator opened, he pushed Malay Shur and threw him inside the elevator. He injured the head and nose with intent to kill. When Malay screamed, the security guards came forward. Then Azizul escaped by showing fear and threatening his life. After that Malay was rescued and taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital and given first aid. His facial laceration required stitches and appears to have permanent damage. In addition, chest and other parts of the body were injured.
